The Metropolitan Museum of Art
About The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Founded in 1870, the Metropolitan Museum of Art now operates two sites (The Met Fifth Avenue and The Met Cloisters), bringing art, exploration of ideas, exhibitions and events, and opportunities to learn to millions of people each year.
The Met is home to one of the most famous Thomas Hart Benton Works: America Today. This ten-panel mural offers a view of the 1920s, including industry, the Great Depression, labor, and leisure.
