The Currier Museum of Art
The Currier Museum of Art first opened its doors in October 1929, just days before the Great Depression. Since its founding, it has opened a community art school in 1939 and new galleries in both 1982 and 2008. The Currier Museum of Art is the sole art museum in the globe with two Frank Lloyd Wright residences open to the public.
The 33,000-square-foot building museum contains more than 15,000 objects, including 29 works by Thomas Hart Benton.
