Naval History & Military Command

The Naval History & Military Command is home to collections of artwork that are available for loan and exhibition, including an incredible set of works by Thomas Hart Benton. During World War II, Benton was commissioned by Abbott Labs to create art that could be used by the Department of Defense Public Relations, resulting in 25 works of art, many of which are now part of the Thomas Hart Benton traveling exhibition collection.
